Art Sale

Today the Year 2 children had their Art Sale. It was an amazing success! So many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers and other children popped in to check out our artwork.

We are so proud of the children of Rooms 1, 15 and 14. They did a wonderful job.

Now to count the money...

Ranfurly Shield Comes to School!

Today the Otago team came to Arrowtown School to share the shield with us. We got to get our photo taken with the shield and got signed posters too! It was so fun to have them at our school!

Year 2 Art Sale

Tomorrow Thursday 29th August the year 2 children are holding an art sale in Room 13.  The art sale will run from 3.30-4.30pm.

All of the children have produced an amazing piece of art for you to buy and after much discussion have set a price.  Room 14 is giving you a sneak peek of their artwork so if you can't make it you can send some money along in an envelope to make your purchase.

All the money raised will be spent on an item of each classes choice.

Year 2 Art Sale

Star of the Week

This week our star is the wonderful Stan!

Stan has joined Room 14 for the term from Auckland.  He has fitted in beautifully and contributes wonderfully to life in Room 14.

Ice Skating

We are absolutely loving ice skating and can't believe how quick our time is going.  We only have one lesson left!

We have all improved so much Mrs Chisholm can't believe how awesome we are!

Star of the Week

This week our star is the wonderful George.

George has worked so hard for the star spot and has given everything his all.  We are so proud of George and his behaviour, we think he will make an amazing star.

Last week we have been reading about Cass the Color Robber . He stole all the colours    but  he thought  it was to boring so he let them  out and then ever thing was rainbow the bees and the trees and lots of other things.

Money Tins - Blogger Josh

This term we are learning about money.  We bought money tins and piggy banks to school so we can earn money when we do amazing work.  We can earn 10c, 20c, 50, $1, $2, $10, $20, $50 and $100!

Each day we count up the money we have deposited, it is fun to watch our money grow!

We are trying to earn $1000 each by the end of term.  If we earn $1000 we get to take part in the end of term treat!

Star of the Week

Wow what a wonderful first week back at school!  It was really tough to pick only one star this week but in the end Ashton's winning smile and attitude earned him the title of 'Star of the Week'.

Today we had our first catch up with our buddies from Room 19.  We all got to meet who we would buddy up with for the term which was really cool.

Our buddies are so kind and friendly we love seeing them every week.

Cass the Colour Robber - Blogger Eliana
