This week our star is the wonderful Mace.

He has worked so incredibly hard that the whole class decided that Mace was the only person that could possibly be our star.  Well done Mace!

Star of the Week

Part of being Star of the Week is showing Room 14 a little more about you.  Every day the star shows or tells the class something about themselves that we might not know.  It's a great way to get to know one another and it's always exciting to see what the star will show next.

For example our last two stars shared some really really interesting information.  Greta's Mum Vanessa came in and talked about Saudi Arabia because that is where Greta's grandparents live.  Do you know its 45 degrees there?!?

Joel's Mum Shalagh bought in his gorgeous Border Collie dog called Bono.  We loved hearing all about him and having a pat.  His fur was sooo soft!

Art Rage

Our next project for art rage is painting a picnic table for the junior children to use when working outside.  We have been busy designing what we would like to paint on the top of the table.  When we are finished our designs we are going to show Mr Harris and Kris and let them be the judges.

Big Bad Wolf

Today some performers from Auckland came and performed a piece called the Big Bad Wolf.  It was soooo funny!  We laughed so much and thought it was amazing how there were only 3 people in the play and they played so many different parts each.  They were so clever and really inspired us to start performing in our classroom more.

Art Rage

The whole school is producing some amazing artworks to go around Arrowtown School.  Room 14 has two pretty special artworks on the go and we finished our first one today.

We painted a fence to look like pencils.  Everyone chipped in to help and the result is amazing!!

Now we just have to decide where it will go.  We think it would look pretty good as a sign out the front of our school saying Arrowtown School.
